To inspire and to motivate

Designing public spaces and buildings makes high demands on the architect, who does not work in isolation from behind a sketching table, but in a complex arena with many competing forces. Stakeholders include clients, public bodies, future users, interest groups and other professionals such as structural engineers. At Syb van Breda & Co, we see it as our job to inspire these stakeholders, to motivate them and make contact between them. To a large extent, designing a bridge or a building is achieved in collaboration with people, and not solely on paper. We want to build bridges and make connections. Literally, but also figuratively. Only then does the synergy come alive which makes our designs rise above expectations and at the same time remain simple and intuitive.
