Syb van Breda & Co is built upon 20 years of international experience, in locations such as the Dutch Antilles, the United Kingdom and Dubai. This enables us to look at the spatial challenges of the Netherlands and elsewhere in a fresh and original way, resulting in world-class designs without losing the touch of 'Dutch sobriety'. We translate difficult challenges into beautiful, simple and user-friendly designs, using the latest scientific and technical developments. We are inspired by designs which combine ingenious structure with a beautiful and imaginative exterior - such as the iPod, or a good poem. For us it is important that our work is sustainable, in the widest sense of the word. This includes working with long lasting materials and replaceable raw materials, as well as making optimally efficient use of the available space, which is critical here in the Netherlands. We believe that a building should be adaptable, able to serve different functions over the years without losing its identity.
